Ingredients
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
1 TBS milk of choice
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread
1 cup thickened cream
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
250 grams strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup icing sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
- Using your favourite big christmas cookie cutter, cut an even amount of shapes from each pastry sheet (or alternatively chop each sheet into 9 squares). Place the shapes on trays and prick with fork.
- Brush pastry with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 10 minutes or until pastry is golden and puffed. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
- Whilst the pastry is cooking, whip the cream, vanilla essence, and half the icing sugar together in a bowl until stiff peaks form. Set aside in fridge.
- Top half of the pastry shapes with spread, then dollop cream. Top with strawberries then sandwich together with the remaining pastry. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
