Who said you can’t make easy donuts? Well I’m here to say they are super easy to make and feature one of my favourite ingredients giving them a protein hit – silken tofu!
Now these are more cake-like if anything, but does that really matter when they are so quick and easy to make?

Ingredients
300 gram 300 Silken tofu, wrap in some paper towel to try and drain some excess liquid.
1.5 cups 1.5 Flour
4 TBS 4 Cocoa Powder
2 TBS 2 Raw Sugar
1 tsp 1 Baking powder
50 grams 50 Chocolate, melted
Salt Flakes (optional)
Flower Sprinkles (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 190°, prepare either a donut pan or lined baking tray.
- Smash silken tofu until soft as possible.
- In a separate bowl combine your dry ingredients, then add the tofu and mix until well combined. The mixture will be sticky. Either divide your dough into 6 and roll out into logs and join the ends, or fill your donut pan.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, flipping at the 7 minute mark (this is a lot easier than you think!). Take out when they’ve raised and bounce back (it’s easy to tell).
- Glaze with the chocolate and sprinkle on the salt flakes and decorations. You can go crazy here or keep it simple like I have!
Tips & Tricks
- If you don’t have a donut pan these are easy roll into shape, just divide the batter and roll into a log, then join the ends
